Who are we?
Parents engagés pour la petite enfance’s mission is to offer, develop and support home-based programs, particularly in Quebec, aimed at improving the ability of immigrant and underprivileged parents to strengthen their children’s ability to learn, and to better prepare them for school.
See our “About us” page for more details.
Comments
When you leave a comment on an activity, not only the data entered in the comment form, but also your IP address and your browser’s user agent are collected to help us detect undesirable comments.
An anonymized string created from your e-mail address (also known as a “hash”) may be sent to the Gravatar service to verify your use of the service. Gravatar’s privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment has been validated, your profile photo will be publicly visible next to your comment.
Media
If you contribute images for use on the website, we advise you to avoid uploading images containing EXIF data containing GPS coordinates. Visitors to this website may download and extract location data from these images.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on one of the activities offered in the autonomous program, you will be asked to save your name, e-mail address and website in cookies. This is for your convenience only, so that you don’t have to re-enter this information if you leave another comment later. These cookies expire after one year.
If you go to the login page, a temporary cookie will be created to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. It does not contain any personal data and will be deleted automatically when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will set a number of cookies to record your login information and screen preferences. The lifetime of a connection cookie is two days, that of a screen option cookie is one year. If you check “Remember me”, your cookie will be stored for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the cookie will be deleted.
When editing or publishing an article, an additional cookie will be stored in your browser. This cookie does not contain any personal data. It simply indicates the identifier of the article you have just modified. It expires after one day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, posts from social networks, etc.). Embedded content from other sites behaves in the same way as if the visitor were visiting that other site.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, install third-party tracking tools or track your interactions with such embedded content if you have an account and are logged into their website.
With whom we share your data
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How long is your data stored?
If you leave a comment on an activity page, the comment and its metadata are kept indefinitely. This allows us to automatically recognize and approve subsequent comments instead of leaving them in the moderation queue.
For users who register on our site (to access the program in ‘Autonomous’ mode), we also store the personal data indicated in their profile. All users can view, modify or delete their personal information at any time (with the exception of their username). Site managers can also view and modify this information.
For families taking part in the program, certain data is stored in a private “Intranet”-type space to which only authorized persons (contributors, administrators) have access. This data is kept to simplify follow-up between meetings, and to collect statistical data requested by PEP’s partner organizations.
What are your rights regarding your data?
If you have an account or if you have left comments on this site, you can ask to receive a file containing all the personal data we hold about you, including that which you have provided to us. You may also request the deletion of your personal data. This does not include data held for administrative, legal or security purposes.
Where your data is sent
User comments can be checked using an automated service for detecting undesirable comments.
